With great snow and visitors flocking to the mountains, it is truly a special time to be here. While here, enjoy everything the area has to offer – from holiday markets to concerts, recreational opportunities, and time with friends and family. We’re closing the year with great momentum going into the New Year. Despite sluggish sales around the country, the market has remained very active with sales remaining the same as this time in 2023 and dollar volume slightly higher as well. Of note, inventory continues to trend above last year by about 17% and the feeling throughout the area and country is that there should be more available in the coming year, which should result in an active market to start 2025.
Most important, I wish you a very happy and safe holiday season and new year. This is a magical time, and I hope you enjoy everything the season and our area have to offer.

A tradition at the Community Concert Hall, the "Nutcracker" performed by the highly-acclaimed State Street Ballet of Santa Barbra will be returning to Durango this December for four performances.

December 14th
Once again, our space will be decked to the nines, Christmas music will be playing, the fire will be lit and hot cocoa will be free flowing! Best part? This is an entirely free community event where you can take a peak at the gingerbread entries, meet May’s miniature ponies, enjoy free cocoa and cookies, and celebrate the holidays with activities for the kids.

December 22nd
Santa and Mrs. Claus are making a stop at Purgatory Resort before the big night of gift deliveries! Bring your little ones by the Beach area on Friday, December 22nd from 1:30pm to 3:00pm and get those Christmas wishes in!

December 31st
Ring in the New Year with festive drinks, lively music, fireworks, and a torchlit skiing parade! Gather round as ski instructors and mountain patrol put on the most spectacular light show as they ski down to the base area, torches in hand. Following up, we’ll light up the mountains with a firework show. Don’t miss out on the fun!
